Fitbit Edge leaks in full: €179, an AMOLED display and seven-day battery life

The four leaked Fitbit Edge colours lined up on a colourful background

Google is working on a wearable it has not announced yet but that has already surfaced in several leaks: the Fitbit Edge. The latest one, picked up by GSMArena and credited to the French outlet Dealabs, points to a price of €179 in the eurozone and £159 in the UK, along with four colours and much of its spec sheet. Keep one thing in mind from the start: none of this has been confirmed by Google.

A price that puts it in the Fitbit Charge 6 slot

If the figure holds, the Fitbit Edge would sit just above the Fitbit Charge 6 and well below the Pixel Watch family. That is the bracket for people who want serious health tracking without the price or the battery demands of a full smartwatch. According to the leak, the device will ship in four finishes inherited from the Pixel Watch 5:

  • Obsidian & Matte Black: matte black aluminium case with a black sport band.
  • Olive & Satin Pyrite: Satin Pyrite aluminium case with an olive green band.
  • Canyon & Champagne Gold: champagne gold aluminium case with a peach rose band.
  • Fog & Polished Silver: polished silver aluminium case with a fog grey band.

What the leaked spec sheet promises for the Fitbit Edge

The list of specifications in circulation is long and mixes what earlier renders already showed with fresh details. On paper, the Fitbit Edge would have a 1.34-inch rectangular AMOLED display with an always-on mode, a 17.7-gram aluminium body and 5 ATM and IP68 water and dust resistance. The advertised battery life would be seven days, dropping to around two days with the display always on; a full charge would take roughly two hours, although other sources mention partial quick top-ups of a few minutes.

On sensors and metrics, the leak mentions GPS, Bluetooth 5.4, an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a heart rate sensor, SpO2, ECG, an ambient light sensor and a step counter. On top of that would come more than 40 exercise modes, automatic activity detection, sleep and menstrual cycle tracking, skin temperature and derived metrics such as cardiac load, fitness level and VO2 max.

The fine print: Gemini, a replaceable battery and fair doubts

The hook of this generation would not be the hardware but the software. The leaks mention a Gemini-powered personal coach able to give guidance during workouts and adapted plans, plus Android and iOS compatibility. That detail matters: Pixel Watch devices are Android-only, so the Fitbit Edge would win back iPhone users, just like the Fitbit Air.

There are also two promises worth a close look until Google confirms them. The first is a user-replaceable battery, unusual in this segment and very useful over time. The second is trend tracking for blood pressure and insulin resistance, a kind of data that in the past has come tied to subscriptions or features still in the works. No leak clarifies how much of this will depend on a paid subscription.

From a day-to-day standpoint, the pitch makes sense: a display for notifications and progress, but without the complexity or upkeep of Wear OS. The site’s own coverage already anticipated it: the Fitbit Charge 7 showed up at the FCC, and the Edge looks like the piece Google wants to place between the screen-less Air and the Pixel Watch 5.

What changes for the reader

There is still no official date. This week’s leak is more detailed than the previous ones and points to a launch around the corner, but until Google announces the Fitbit Edge, the price, the colours and the health metrics remain a rumour. If you are after a wearable with a screen, solid battery life and an AI coach, this is one to watch; if you need certainty about health features or an immediate purchase, wait for the official presentation.
