Sony has put on sale in the mainland Chinese market two new variants of its gaming headphones. On one hand, the INZONE E9 in «Crystal Purple» finish, an in-ear model; on the other, the INZONE H9 II in a joint edition with esports organization Fnatic, in over-ear format. The final prices are 799 yuan for the former and 1,699 yuan for the latter, according to Chinese outlet ITHome.
An in-ear with USB-C sound box
The INZONE E9 is the in-ear option of the family. Sony details that it mounts 5-mm drivers and a sealed acoustic structure, the closed design that seeks to isolate from external noise. The earphone comes accompanied by a sound box with USB-C connection that enables game spatial audio and allows adjusting the equalizer.
In practice, it is a model that supports part of its processing in that external module. This type of solution usually improves surround sound management compared to connecting the headphones directly to the device, although the result depends more on how the processing is implemented in each game than on the specification itself.
The Fnatic H9 II, with WH-1000XM6 drivers
The INZONE H9 II shares its driver unit with the WH-1000XM6, Sony’s reference over-ear headphones outside the gaming sphere. The model adds an adjustable cardioid microphone — a pattern that prioritizes front voice and discards much of the noise arriving from the sides — active noise cancellation, and an equalization preset signed by Fnatic.
The headband is adjustable and the set declares 273 g, a weight that drops to 260 g if the microphone is omitted. The announced autonomy reaches up to 30 hours.

What this implies for the buyer
It is advisable to separate what is measured from what is perceived. The hard data — 5-mm driver, 273 g of weight, 30 hours of battery — are verifiable and place each model in its segment: the E9 at the more contained price step and the H9 II in the high-end over-ear range. Spatial audio and the Fnatic preset, however, are tuning decisions and respond to a taste, not a figure.
The most relevant detail is the H9 II’s heritage: sharing a driver with the WH-1000XM6 brings Sony premium headphone technology closer to the gaming-oriented catalog. For anyone looking for a single over-ear pair that serves both playing games and listening to music with noise cancellation, that is the weighty argument.
The prices cited are those of the mainland Chinese market and are expressed in yuan. It remains to be seen if Sony transfers these two variants — the E9 color and the Fnatic edition of the H9 II — to other markets.
