Loewe, the German brand known for its TVs and design-led equipment, has announced the Neo, a portable Bluetooth speaker it says combines acoustic performance with a carefully crafted finish. The speaker delivers 50 watts of total power and uses two passive bass radiators, and it will reach stores on 20 November priced at 400 euros.
The Neo is presented as Loewe’s bid for the premium end of portable audio. The company says that “compromising on acoustic fidelity is never a consequence of mobility”, an idea that sums up a product built to move around without losing sound quality.

Design, controls and customisation of the Loewe Neo
The speaker uses an aluminium housing with interchangeable front grilles, so the user can change its look depending on the setting or personal taste. It also adds built-in ambient lighting adjusted from a light strip on the unit itself.
The controls sit on top and include the power button, bass and treble boosters, and a switch for the light. Loewe’s app lets you personalise the lighting and tune the sound with three presets, as well as adjust bass and treble separately.
Mobility is rounded off with a detachable leather carry strap and an included felt case.
Durability, battery and connectivity
The Neo has an IP67 rating, making it dust- and water-resistant, and claims 12 hours of battery life per charge. On the wireless side it includes Auracast, the Bluetooth audio relaying technology that lets you pair it with other compatible speakers to spread the sound across several units at once.
Price and availability
The Loewe Neo goes on sale on 20 November in three finishes: Alu Silver, Alu Black and Champagne, the latter as a limited edition. It will cost 400 euros (400 pounds in the UK), above well-known alternatives in the segment such as the JBL Xtreme 5, which starts at 330 pounds / 350 euros.
Loewe’s CEO, Aslan Khabliev, framed the launch around the brand’s identity: “For decades, Loewe has been synonymous with design, innovation and individuality. Neo implements that philosophy out into the world, combining exceptional acoustic power, intelligent lighting, and unprecedented customisation in one beautifully crafted product.”
The Loewe Neo, a premium pick in a crowded market
The Neo arrives at a time of renewal for consumer audio. While portable speakers fight to stand out with design and smart features, sound platforms are evolving too: Qualcomm recently introduced Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2, its AI-powered audio platform for headphones. For buyers, the key question will be whether the Neo’s premium price translates into sound quality and an experience that lives up to it.
