AYANEO has opened orders for the Konkr Pocket Block, a vertical Android gaming handheld aimed at retro games. The model starts at $89 and uses a 4:3 display for content from classic systems rather than a widescreen panel.

The handheld measures 113.2 × 77.4 × 19.8 millimetres and weighs approximately 165 grams. Its 3.33-inch LCD panel has a 960 × 720-pixel resolution and a 360 ppi density.
Inside, it uses a MediaTek Helio G85, paired with 2 GB of LPDDR4X memory and 32 GB of storage in the base model, or 3 GB and 64 GB in the higher-tier version. Both configurations include a microSD card slot.
The control layout includes a D-pad, ABXY buttons, Start and Select, plus L1/R1 and L2/R2 shoulder buttons. It also includes customisable buttons for system shortcuts.
Android 12 and AYANEO software for organising a library
The Konkr Pocket Block runs Android 12 and the company’s software. AYAHome works as the launcher, while AYASpace can import games, manage emulation platforms and retrieve cloud metadata.
The battery has a 3,500 mAh capacity. For connectivity, the device includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C 2.0 with PD fast charging and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. AYANEO also includes dual-chamber speakers and a linear motor for haptic feedback.
Two configurations, with shipping expected in late October
The 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage version costs $89, while the 3 GB and 64 GB version costs $109. The handheld is available in Original Grey, Atoms White and Cube Purple.
According to the launch information, shipping will begin in late October. For someone looking for a compact handheld to organise a retro Android library, the difference between the two models is limited to memory and storage, rather than the display or processor.
