Ugreen has put the ClipBuds Pro 2 on sale, a pair of clip-on earbuds that rest outside the outer ear instead of being inserted into the ear canal. They carry a recommended price of $99.99 and are available both from the brand’s official store and on Amazon. The pitch rests on three pillars: voice pickup, sound quality and AI features.
Six microphones and bone conduction for calls
The voice pickup system combines six microphones: an array of four plus two bone-conduction sensors, called Voice Pickup Units, which detect the vibrations generated by speech to isolate the voice from surrounding noise. Ugreen adds AI-assisted noise reduction aimed at dampening office chatter, traffic and wind. The company places the demanding scenario on streets with noise levels of up to 75 dB, where it says the voice reaches the person on the other end clearly and naturally.
This is, in fact, the key difference from closed-back earbuds: because they do not cover the ear, the challenge is not cancelling noise for the wearer but stopping that noise from leaking into the microphone. Hence the use of bone conduction, which provides a reference of the voice independent of the air.
11 mm driver, LDAC and spatial audio
Each earbud carries an 11 mm dual-magnet driver with a titanium-composite diaphragm. Hi-Res Wireless certification and LDAC transmission, Sony’s high-bitrate codec, point to the quality ceiling not being the wireless link. Bass mode adds weight and texture to the low end, while spatial audio seeks a wider, more layered soundstage.
For use in shared spaces, directional acoustics focus sound towards the ear and reduce leakage, something worth watching in an open design. The tonal profile was tuned together with drummer, composer and producer Terri Lyne Carrington, a four-time Grammy winner, with the goal of balancing vocals, instruments and rhythm without giving up the airy character of the open format.
Lightweight design and battery life

Each earbud weighs about 6 g. The C-bridge integrates a 0.5 mm memory-titanium core that flexes to adapt to different ear shapes and spreads pressure more evenly, with a matte finish on the surface. Claimed battery life is 10 hours on a single charge and up to 46 hours counting the case. The brand’s promotional images also certify dust and water resistance under the IP56 standard.

AI features and availability of the ClipBuds Pro 2
Built on speech recognition and AI models —the brand cites GPT and Gemini— the system offers simultaneous and face-to-face translation in more than 130 languages, plus live recording, transcription and automatically generated meeting summaries. Dual-device connectivity keeps both the laptop and the phone linked at once, aiming to reduce interruptions when switching from a meeting to a call.
The AI side is today the ground where true wireless earbuds are differentiating most, and here Ugreen builds it into the product itself instead of relying only on an app. The ClipBuds Pro 2 are already on sale for $99.99, a restrained price for an open format that usually sits in that bracket.
Is it worth it?
By price and approach, the ClipBuds Pro 2 land squarely in the clip-on earbuds segment, a format that has stopped being a curiosity: Samsung recently unveiled its Galaxy Buds On, also clip-style. Against similarly priced closed-back models, the advantage is comfort and awareness of your surroundings; the trade-off is scant passive isolation, which shows up in very noisy environments. The spec sheet is solid —LDAC, six microphones, 46 hours and AI features— so the reasonable doubt is not what it brings, but how it sounds once measured and how it actually behaves on calls.
