OnePlus Launches Its First Screen-Equipped Power Bank Under China’s New Standard on October 12
OnePlus already has a date for its first power bank with a screen: it will arrive on October 12. The company presented it as its first model complying with its country’s new national standard, although so far it has only shown the promotional poster and has not detailed either the price or the markets where it will be sold.
According to the name appearing in the official image, the product is the «OnePlus SUPERVOOC 67W 口袋充 超级闪充屏显移动电源 10000». Translated, a pocket power bank with screen, fast charging and a capacity that the denomination itself places at 10,000 mAh.
What We Know About OnePlus’s Power Bank
The announcement, published on this October 8th, is limited to two certainties: the product exists and its presentation will be next October 12. From the company’s information, three characteristics emerge:
- Estimated capacity of 10,000 mAh, according to the number that closes the model name.
- Smart screen integrated into the body of the device to show the charge status.
- 67 W SUPERVOOC protocol, the fast-charging proprietary technology of OnePlus (and OPPO), which theoretically allows recharging a compatible mobile at good speed.
The rest, including the presence of USB-C ports, compatibility with the third-party USB Power Delivery standard or the number of cells, does not appear in the communication and we will have to wait for the launch.
The “New National Standard”, in Context
OnePlus insists on presenting it as its first power bank under China’s new national standard. It is a regulatory label of the Chinese market, not a performance promise: it serves to place the product within a more recent regulation regarding safety and quality of accumulators, an area that has been toughening in the country over recent years.
It is advisable to read it with caution. That a manufacturer announces compliance with a norm does not say anything about how much energy the port actually delivers, how long the cell lasts or how many cycles it supports before degrading. These are the figures that really matter in an external battery and they are still not on the table.
A Launch in the Shadow of the OnePlus 16
The date is not coincidental: October 12 is the same day that OnePlus has scheduled for the presentation of the OnePlus 16, its next gaming phone. The company announced that terminal at the end of September, within its gaming congress, with an experience of 185 FPS and a sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 as engine.

The fact that the power bank shares a date points to an ecosystem accessories strategy: a fast-charging complement designed for those who already have a mobile compatible with SUPERVOOC and want to take advantage of maximum possible speed. For the rest of users, such a model only makes sense if it also admits standard USB-C charging at a reasonable power.
What Changes for the Buyer
For now, little. There is no price, there is no confirmation of sale outside China and we do not know if the 10,000 mAh capacity is real or a marketing estimate. OnePlus’s usual policy with its accessories is a launch first in China and an arrival to Europe that depends on the product.
Lacking those data, the honest answer is always the same: wait. If OnePlus maintains its policy of adjusted prices and the battery arrives in Spain with PD compatibility, it will be an option worth looking at; if it remains as an exclusive accessory for the OnePlus 16 in China, there will be nothing to buy here. The date of October 12 will serve to know which of the two scenarios we are in.
